I would say this is a legitimate resurrection, as he did say he'd tell us how it worked out, and never did.

Having said that, I do believe two years ago Despite was still in high school and multiple states away from the one he now resides in for college. FWB are considered on rocky ground, in the best of times, but surely you never take them to college with you.

I'd wager it went on for a few months, Despite learned you can't actually drown crabs no matter how long you stay chest deep in the swimming pool, and on late lonely nights in his dorm or apartment, he looks back on that time in his life, fondly, and well...you get the jest.
