A new erotic magazine for women believes images like these are a turn on. Hardly!
A new erotic magazine for women believes images like these are a turn on. Hardly!
This week, a new magazine seeks to fill the gap left by failed publications such as Playgirl - but can it really claim to be plugging into the complex sexual psyche of the modern woman?

I think the "sexual psyche" of women is less dependent on imagery than with men. Maybe they should have done more extensive research as to WHY Playgirl failed?

Too much androgyeny in the images...and way way way too much stereotype in the second half of the story, lamenting the 'unfemininity' of women today.

Psh.

Bet she wouldn't have been happy when women started bicycling and wearing bloomers, either.

If they want to do well, they should take a hint from Cosmo and other such magazines.

Edit: We need both hot bodies and stories

The magazine doesn't seem appealing. However, the story is as big a turn off, first lamenting the stereotypes and then insisting on making just as many, even worse ones.

But without stereotypes how would we know that all Americans are loud mouthed bigots, all French people are rude, Canadians are overly polite, Irish are drunks...Ok, yeah, you have a point.

I like to think of people by their stereotypical foods rather than their stereotypes. Much happier.

If I were British I would rather be considered a snob than a "Spotted d**k".

That was exactly what I was thinking, too: "Men's magazines don't get it right for women, but you didn't get it right for me, so that makes you equally wrong. Hear me? WRONG. So quit being so high and mighty about it, because your stuff is just NOT sexy."
