A jaw-dropping lawsuit filed last week in San Francisco Superior Court alleges an ER doctor abandoned his attempts to resuscitate a patient from cardiac arrest to instead pocket the dead man's valuable Rolex wristwatch.

I hope it doesn't but stories like this - if true - can really rattle people who need medical care. Incidents like this are a very small minority, probably much less so than in other professions.
